Ding Ding Ding! If you were at Schneider’s Corporate Business Center on June 8, you would have heard the ringing of a bell. Why? Well, to commemorate Schneider’s initial public offering on the New York Stock Exchange, of course. We held a bell-ringing ceremony in Green Bay Wis., for all of us who were unable to attend the historic event in New York on April 6.
The recreation of the bell ringing was one of the highlights of the New York-themed Associate Appreciation Days, which were June 5-9. After the bell-ringing ceremony, lunch was served for all associates under a huge tent. Thankfully, we were blessed with gorgeous weather, not a given in Wisconsin. Serving as a backdrop for the picnic was the 57’ x 37’ banner that was initially hung at the NYSE — yes … that is feet!
The entire week was New York-themed, and associates had a lot of fun with it. We had a New York-themed breakfast: apples and bagels. One group participated in a landmark scavenger hunt complete with New York icons like the Statue of Liberty. The “Pop”
For all our associates not located in Green Bay, which is the vast majority, we will be celebrating Field Associate Appreciation Days and Driver Appreciation Week September 12-14 — during National Truck Driver Appreciation Week. Leaders will be traveling to various locations to help celebrate and recognize all associates. Look for more information in the coming months!
