Schneider is seeking a solution focused Business Technology Developer to support technology needs in the business areas of Safety, Regulatory and Driver Training. With a heavy hand in managing technical relationships for and with business stakeholders, you will research, develop and solution for a specific business area. Technical solutions can be those created by our TECH team or created in-house. The expectation is to become a technical subject matter expert for the information systems, information schemes, and business process.

About the role:

  • Maintain a technical relationship with business stakeholders and vendors as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the information systems, information schemes, and related business processes.
  • Identify technology, develop solutions, and recognize opportunities to eliminate rework, reengineer process, and migrate toward automation.
  • Work directly with members of supported areas to identify, understand, and develop process enhancements or solutions to technical business needs.
  • Develop and maintain Project Requests (PIRFs), Dashboards, Oracle BI Publishing (OBIP), Process Automation requests, and intermediate programming projects.
  • Determine root causes when technical issues arise and work with TECH or vendors to resolve.
  • Create innovative new approaches to improve the utilization, measurement, and/or efficiency in the areas of Safety, Regulatory, and Driver Training.

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience and a minimum of 3 years work experience in computer tools and technology.
  • Ability to transform raw data into business information.
  • Day one ability to manage and create relational tables and databases e.g. Access / SQL.
  • Willingness to learn new technology tools, programming languages, and techniques.
  • Broad IT knowledge and skills:
    • Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office products.
    • Comprehensive knowledge of software, application, and systems.
    • Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and tools.
