Schneider Enterprise Resources, LLC has an opening for IT Advanced Analytics Analyst Sr. The position reports to Green Bay, Wisconsin, but may telecommute from anywhere in the US.

Provide expert technical guidance in project working groups. Will frequently be asked to lead technical project discussions. Gather requirements, design, develop, test, implement, and support applications developed across various development environments and in various languages. Work with the Engineering team to develop and apply heuristics and mathematical concepts, such as natural language processing (NLP), simulation, optimization, machine learning, and statistical models to business problems. Develop state-of-the-art advanced analytics solutions for complex business problems. Create prototype applications for complex solutions to implement approved concepts, actively guide and monitor the prototype when deployed to key users, transition the prototype into a production system and provide production-support after implementation. Follow appropriate development methodologies while developing applications. Research and recommend purchased and open-source languages, techniques, and concepts applicable to Schneider’s use in this domain.  Share these new concepts with the larger department and create proof-of-concept applications to showcase value.  Create approved tools and applications that allow others to make use of the concepts for solving problems. Perform complex tasks, including working effectively with resources from other IT groups, relating to support, troubleshooting, and maintenance related to cross technology middleware, application, and other software enabling technology issues.  Participate in the development of advanced analytics tools, engineering modeling, and related enabling software planning and provide input on the selection of enabling software technologies. Create Statements of Benefit and Statements of Work for complex new concepts before they are approved.  Communicate the value for projects to non-technical stakeholders. Self-manage multiple projects, priorities, and timelines.   Communicate progress and conflicts appropriately to management and stakeholders. Provide technical guidance and mentorship within the team, lead technical discussions with business customers, communicate solutions, and lead collaborative efforts with team members and work groups. May supervise other employees.

Job Requirements 

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, and two years of IT work experience. In the alternative, will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, and five years of IT work experience.

Work experience must have included:

  • Advanced analytic techniques such as machine learning, natural language processing (NLP), or statistics;
  • Agile or iterative software development methodologies;
  • Software design and development methodology;
  • Programming in Java and Python; and
  • Linux systems (including shell scripting).
