Schneider currently has an opportunity for an Equipment Representative to join our team. You will handle a variety of requests and issues concerning Schneider equipment. You'll be responsible for discovering and resolving issues that arise through monitoring of equipment assets. Resolving the issues will require you to work with various partners from several departments, to include outside vendors and customers. This role will handle all aspects of equipment utilization focusing on exceptions, maintenance and reporting. Are you up for the challenge? As an Equipment Representative, you will:

  • Handle the on time delivery and accuracy of pre-defined delivery location of new equipment
  • Route trade equipment for sale to Schneider Operating Centers
  • Understand and identify when equipment abuse is occurring with carriers/customer and work with parties involved to resolve the issue
  • Reduce high idle or underutilized equipment and collaborate with other areas/departments to fix equipment utilization issues
  • Improve equipment availability through yard check reconciliation for all customers in specified markets 
  • Work with maintenance to set priorities for equipment repairs within region and follow up with maintenance team

Ideal candidates will have:

  • A high school graduate/GED or equivalent work experience - preferably 1 to 2 years
  • Ability to communicate effectively through means of written and oral communication with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment
  • Good judgement and initiative with strong decision-making abilities
  • Ability to work effectively as a self-starter
