Schneider is seaking a Benefits Administrator. The primary responsibility of this position is to evaluate, assess, and qualify associates personal time off, leave and accommodation requests in accordance with all local, state and federal laws. This includes working with Work Comp administrators, Regulatory Medical administrator, STD and LTD benefit administrators. Collecting, investigating, analysis and processing of information involving requests for FMLA, state leaves or accommodations. Additional responsibility includes working within and a complete understanding of the parameters of the ADA, EEOC, DOT, OSHA, HIPAA and all federal & state personal time off hiring & confidentiality laws

About the role: 

  • Assess and qualify FMLA and state leave requests for all associates. Determine eligibility and provide designation. Evaluate on a case-by-case basis for associate eligibility and compliance with all Federal, state and local regulations by remaining informed of leave law changes.
  • Lead the assessment and identify course of action for complex scenarios; investigates, assesses and resolves issues; involve Legal as required.
  • Ensure all plan documents and policies are in compliance, administered, and communicated within the parameters of current ADA, EEOC, HIPAA, DOT, ERISA, Paid leave and DOL regulations.
  • Coach leaders, associates and HRBPs regarding interpretation and application of relevant laws, policies and practices based on the circumstances of the situation. Act as case management advisor for leaders and other internal departments on personal time off, leaves and accommodations.

Ideal candidates will have:  

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Risk Management or related field or equivalent work experience
  • Two to four years equivalent work experience. 
  • Problem solving skills, strong communication, and ability to work in a diverse and dynamic team.
