Facilities Maintenance Technician

Schneider is seeking a high energy, creative and experienced Facilities Maintenance Technician to assist with the day-to-day maintenance operation of all building and grounds.  Provides light and periodic hands on repairs and maintenance to facilities, equipment, and furniture.  Works on prioritized and scheduled maintenance tasks and repairs.  Coordinates contractor/vendor activities on select maintenance and furniture projects.  This role receives work direction and standard operating procedures from their leader, while supporting the Business Sector facility needs.

About the role:

  • Assist in executing preventive maintenance, customer work orders, and emergency repairs
  • Assists with emergency housekeeping as needed (i.e. spills, trash, and restroom cleanup)
  • Miscellaneous building and grounds maintenance items, light painting and carpentry repairs
  • Maintain consistent attendance while exhibiting behavior in alignment with our core values.

Ideal candidates will have:  

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience. One to two years relevant experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and prioritize workload
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision
