Schneider is seeking an ambitious Senior Broker to be accountable for coaching and mentoring new Brokers by assisting with problem resolution and establishing and growing their book of business. You will utilize your selling skills and expertise to establish and grow carrier relationships and source carrier capacity. With a focus on revenue growth, carrier relationships, and customer service, you will develop key carrier contacts within your market that will generate capacity to service customers and exceed sales goals.

About the role:

  • Identify, prospect and generate new carriers through analysis and discovery
  • Quote, negotiate price and commit transportation services with carriers through prospecting, cold calling, qualifying and closing deals in an open transactional selling environment
  • Grow business with current carriers in alignment with account growth strategy plans, market demands, service demands, and contracted carrier needs
  • Maintain consistent attendance while exhibiting behavior in alignment with our core values

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience and a minimum of one year relevant work experience
  • Strong problem solving skills with the ability to analyze various courses of action and make recommendations for a positive outcome
  • Good judgement and decision making skills
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and prioritize workload, work with a sense of urgency toward a desired result
