Military Apprenticeship Program
Because of our long-standing commitment to veterans, Guard members and Reservists, and the opportunities we offer, the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has accepted Schneider into its exclusive Apprenticeship Program. During your first year working for Schneider, you are eligible to earn a monthly educational benefit check from the VA in addition to your Schneider paycheck – up to $1,266 each month depending on your years of service! Additionally, Schneider offers up to $7,000 in tuition reimbursement to driving school graduates to help you get your new career started.
“I used the government waiver that allows military personnel to get a Commercial Driver’s License and began researching potential employers. One of my main sources was G.I. Jobs magazine. Schneider was the highest-rated trucking company on their Top 100 Military Friendly Employers list. When I learned they offered the military apprenticeship program for those who still have GI Bill® benefits, I applied online and attended their orientation in Green Bay.”
Check out the latest benefit amounts or inquire on your exact amount or eligibility by calling the VA at 888-442-4551.
We’ll work closely with you and the VA to verify your qualifications for the program and ensure you receive the maximum benefit:
- 12-month program
- Veterans, Guard members and Reservists in the program will receive weekly wages from Schneider and their monthly educational benefit payment from the VA Office – up to $1,266 per month depending on years of service
- To qualify, you must have your GI Bill® or Post 9/11 available
