Experienced Driver Orientation Schedule and Pay
The length of orientation for experienced drivers depends on what kind of freight you’ll be hauling. Van Truckload driver orientation lasts four days, Intermodal five days and Tanker 12 days. Dedicated driver orientation length will depend on the Dedicated account-specific requirements. All drivers will be paid for attending and completing the orientation sessions, but the amount may vary by driving opportunity. Talk to a recruiter (800-44-PRIDE) from more specifics.

What You’ll Do During Experienced Driver Orientation
The pre-work screen is one of the first things you’ll do at Schneider trucking orientation. This screen will assess whether you can safely perform the essential functions of truck driving. Upon passing the pre-work screen, you will proceed with your orientation.Watch the video
In the classroom, you’ll get an introduction to Schneider's mobile communications platform, a trip planning refresher and a review of safety tips designed to keep you and those around you from getting hurt on the job.
Schneider's state-of-the-art simulators give you the chance to brush up on the skills you’ve learned out on the road. This technology allows you to enter a realistic, virtual environment where you can safely practice maneuvering through potentially hazardous situations without risk.
At the end of Schneider trucking orientation for experienced driver you’ll be required to take a skills qualification test to verify your driving skills. The test includes a pre-trip inspection, coupling/uncoupling procedure and a 15-20-mile road course. After you pass the test, it’s time to start racking up the miles with Schneider.
