Pitt Community College is in the business of training adults for careers and truck driving and is one of the best opportunities around. The industry needs drivers and we are excited to offer our students these lucrative positions. Our course is a hybrid program offering 56 hours of study online, 40 hours of classroom training with 80 hours of Practical and behind-the-wheel training. Students obtain their permit from the NC Department of Motor Vehicles and then must pass the NC CDL test for their CDL License. We offer classes every 5-6 weeks. Students must be 18 years of age, hold a valid driver’s license and Social Security card. They must also pass a DOT physical and a drug test.Pitt Community College CDL training location(s)
