Schneider  has an immediate need for an experienced Senior Warehouse Manager to be responsible for planning and delivering strategic business objectives, as well as executing daily and short term plans to achieve operational excellence. You will also mentor, develop, and coach associates to improve leadership bench strength and to assist in achieving their career potential, as well as performance objectives and strategic planning relating to customer forecasts and budgets in tandem with our staffing and budgeting processes. You will be accountable for achieving company objectives in regards to safety, quality, cost control, customer service and associate engagement; ultimately accountable and responsible for all facets of the operation to ensure success of the facility.

About the role: 

  • Develop strategies around staffing and associate schedules to ensure resource demands are commensurate to volume and customers expectations
  • Embrace and facilitate change management and policy guidelines to achieve company and divisional goals
  • Organize regular staff meetings to ensure proper protocol and communication is cascaded appropriately
  • Build an environment in which employees willingly produce maximum work. Must be fair, consistent, respectful, and professional at all times (Embrace Schneider Core Values)
  • Develop annual operating budget as well as all project budgets and oversee them to ensure budgets are met
  • Prepare financial reports to understand monthly tempo on a weekly basis and clearly showing operational effectiveness by their efforts. Additionally, monthly P&L calls are held to understand month end earnings performance
  • Ensure annual KPIs, metrics, goals and objectives are set and communicated at the beginning of the year and evaluate achievement on a regular basis

Our ideal candidate will have: 

  • A bachelor degree or equivalent work experience plus a minimum of five years of demonstrated work history in a logistics and warehousing environment, with overall knowledge of basic warehousing and supply chain principles and processes. 3PL experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of warehousing management systems, yard management systems, EDI and RFID technology
  • Proficiency in all MS Office applications
  • Strong leadership, coaching and development skills using performance management tools
  • Relationship management and escalation resolution skills
