Schneider is seeking a Part Time Senior Vendor Relationship Specialist to manage the execution of our Intermodal service from ingate to notification. Primarily, the Senior Vendor Relationship Specialist will act as a customer advocate between the railroads and Schneider to proactively resolve service issues and ensure data accuracy. The Senior Vendor Relationship Specialist utilizes internal and external technology to monitor Intermodal orders, resolve problems and proactively communicate changes.

About the role:

  • Utilize Schneider and railroad tools to proactively track and update intermodal orders from departure to notification
  • Create accurate and timely billing for international and hazmat to facilitate seamless ingates for our drivers and partner carriers
  • Act as resource for rail related questions and concerns. Ability to provide information and solutions for Customer Service, Operations, Claims, Schneider Emergency Maintenance, as well as other members of the intermodal teams
  • Maintain consistent attendance while exhibiting behavior in alignment with our core values

As an associate you will enjoy a competitive starting wage between: $16.20 - $24.40, based on experience, plus shift pay of either $1.25/hr. or $2.00/hr. based on hours worked, and strong work/life balance that includes paid vacation and holidays along with paid personal time off. After 6 months of training, you have the option to work a hybrid schedule, one week from from home, one week onsite. Ideal candidate will have: 

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience. One to two years of relevant experience needed.
  • Ability to understand and effectively communicate international customs clearance processes
  • Ability to help Customer Service problem solve and root cause analyze potential rail related service issues
