Job overview: 

Schneider is seeking a Director of Software Engineering in Green Bay to lead the development, maintenance and support of the technology that enables the delivery of business capabilities. The Director of Software Engineering will focus on leading teams responsible for the core transportation and logistics ecosystem and leveraging telematics to manage Schneider’s trucks and trailers. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Provide leadership and direction to Solution Delivery teams and to other technical leaders. 
  • Maintain and improve Service Level Agreements (SLAs). 
  • Manage the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). 
  • Create and maintain a high-performance environment through your leadership and actions, while balancing cost, agility and quality in a loosely coupled integrated environment. 

Skills and qualifications:  

  • Bachelor degree in computer science, information systems or related field. 
  • Minimum of six years of relevant work experience. 
  • Advanced technical and architectural knowledge in software development life cycle, quality assurance and technology frameworks. 
  • Can understand and translate complex technology concepts to industry solutions and anticipate future technology needs.
