Job overview:   

Schneider is seeking a Software Engineering Manager in Green Bay, WI to provide leading-edge, innovative solutions that enable growth by simplifying business processes, driving efficiency and ensuring security. The Software Engineering Manager will also lead a team of developers, analysts and testers.   

Responsibilities:   

  • Provide leadership to a team of solution delivery associates.  
  • Manage projects, coordinate product development activities and ensure tasks are completed on time and within budget. 
  • Communicate the status of projects to customers and other leaders through status reports and meetings.  
  • Ensure projects are staffed effectively and follow the appropriate development lifecycles.  
  • Oversee projects from inception to implementation and ensure stable, defect-free releases.  
  • Provide recommendations to management on software and product development.

Skills and qualifications:    

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or related field.   
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant IT experience.   
  • Knowledge of transportation management systems.   
  • Experience leading a solution delivery team.   
  • In-depth knowledge of software architecture, best coding practices and software design principles and patterns.
