Facebook Live chat events: Recent highlights and upcoming schedule

Schneider is continually seeking new and innovative ways to engage with both prospective and current Schneider truck drivers. Facebook chats have been one of the most well-received methods we’ve employed this year, and we feature two types of chats described below.

1. Facebook Live events – topical driver recruiting chats

These chats are typically held weekly, but they vary in timing, hosts and format, addressing a variety of driver recruiting topics.

The full Facebook Live chat schedule is below, but our most recent Facebook Live event, for example, focused on Schneider’s partnership with Women in Trucking and what it’s like to be a woman truck driver, with Schneider recruiter Brittany hosting alongside special guest Ellen Voie, president and CEO of Women in Trucking:

Upcoming Facebook Live topical driver recruiting chats

• October 19 – How to apply to be a truck driver at Schneider, walking through the full application process.
• November 1 – New driver orientation.
• November 8 – Military.
• November 15 – Your first 0-90 days at Schneider.
• November 29 – Driver facility in Green Bay, Wis.
• December 14 – Overview of Schneider’s variety of driving opportunities.

2. Monthly company driver chats with Todd Jadin

When: Typically on the third Wednesday of each month at 5:30 p.m.

Host: Todd Jadin, Schneider talent management and associate relations leader, plus potential special guests

Format: Each Facebook Live event chat runs for two hours. Todd provides an opening statement addressing any focus areas for the evening, then responds to text questions within each Facebook event. He will then go on Facebook Live for a designated amount of time before concluding with more text responses after the live video portion.
