What is it really like to work for Schneider? Why do thousands of our associates feel like this is where they belong? That’s what you’ll discover through our new blog, “A Slice of Orange.”
We’ll take you behind the steering wheel, past the front desk, into the maintenance shop, through the warehouse and ultimately to the heart of Schneider’s culture: our people.
Each person represents a “slice” of the “Big Orange.” The 80 years of success you see on the outside simply comes from the cumulative contributions of our safe, courteous, hustling associates. We’ll peel back the layers so you can go behind the scenes and get exclusive insight about Schneider.
You can get general career information and news releases elsewhere, but in “A Slice of Orange,” you’ll get firsthand perspective and a chance to interact directly with the people who make Schneider a go-to leader in the transportation/logistics industry.
The key to our blog (and our company): You
It’s all about interaction and authenticity. We've learned how much you value those qualities through our candid discussions on social media, and we’re excited to expand the conversation into a blog format.
On our social media platforms, for example, we've encouraged people to submit their own photos for potential posting on our channels, and the results are clear: You love user-submitted photos.
That’s one reason we decided to launch an Amateur Photo Contest, empowering you to capture what makes Schneider special and then vote on your favorite photo. The winner — which we’ll announce Monday, June 29 — will receive $500 and have their photo posted on the schneiderjobs.com homepage.
Again, we’re thrilled to launch our new blog and take our interaction with you to an even higher level. Check back for our next blog post on Thursday. We’ll continue to roll out new blog posts twice per week.
Here’s how you can stay involved with our new blog:
- Bookmark our blog and check back every week to see what’s new.
- Comment below the posts and/or on social media — We look forward to engaging with you.
- Apply to join the “Big Orange.”
