Truck Driver Appreciation Week ‘Thank You’ from Schneider Executive VP

Thank you, Schneider drivers.

September 11-17 is National Truck Driver Appreciation Week, and I wanted to take this opportunity to thank Schneider drivers — and all drivers in the industry — for your hard work and commitment to safety.

Truck drivers, you truly are the powertrain of the economy and the industry. Every load you haul improves the lives of others. I’m in my 30th year with Schneider, and I have never taken that for granted. The rest of our leadership team doesn’t either and neither should you. Take a step back during Driver Appreciation Week and reflect on how valuable your contributions are!

In my role as Schneider’s Chief Operating Officer, I constantly have my finger on the pulse of our day-to-day operations, and not a day goes by that I don’t I hear from customers, our operations associates and the motoring public about how safe and professional Schneider drivers are.

Of course we take pride in the driver training, equipment and resources we provide, but drivers, you’re ultimately the captain of your ship. Your decisions on the road are the most visible representation of our core values: safety, integrity, respect and excellence. I’m proud to come to work every day to support a family of drivers that embodies those values.

I’m excited to meet some Schneider drivers in person as I travel to various Midwest locations for Driver Appreciation Week, which also coincides with Schneider’s Field Associate Appreciation Days (September 13-15). Whether I get to shake your hand or just share my thoughts here, know that I appreciate what you do, and our company as a whole appreciates it, too — during Truck Driver Appreciation Week and every week.

Thanks again and keep up the great work!

Going above and beyond to acknowledge drivers’ value.

We know the importance of our drivers, and that’s why we show our appreciation by offering a wide variety of benefits and competitive pay.
