Job overview: 

Schneider is seeking a Yard Coordinator in Livermore, CA to provide customer service to drivers in the areas of yard flow, administrative support, and maintenance needs. Yard Coordinators work closely with a variety of departments including Lines of Business, Maintenance, Security Services, Customer Service, Regulatory and Claims. They provide excellent customer service in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment. Position requires outstanding problem solving, data accuracy, organizational skills and stress tolerance.

Responsibilities: 

  • Operates security gates, handles yard flow, and directs parking. Welcomes drivers at the entrance gate, records unit numbers and status in the computer. Verifies proper security procedures as units enter and exit the gates.
  • Works in a courteous manner and maintains a professional demeanor when communicating with internal associates and external individuals.  
  • Maintain consistent attendance while exhibiting behavior in alignment with our core values.  

Skills and qualifications: 

  • High school diploma or GED. 
  • 2-4 years of previous customer service experience. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Can take initiative and is a self-starter. 
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Starting wage of $18.90 - $23.60 / hour based on experience. $1.25/hr (a minimum of 4 continuous hours worked between the hours of 1600-0500 local time) or$2.00/hr (weekend hours worked between 2100 Friday and 0500 Monday)
