Job overview:
Schneider is seeking a Warehouse Operations Manager in Orla to lead a warehouse or terminal. The Warehouse Operations Manager will coach warehouse associates while overseeing warehouse metrics related to safety, quality, productivity, cost control and customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach and develop a team of warehouse associates and leaders.
- Adhere to budgets and review financial results.
- Develop strategies around staffing and schedules to align with volume and demand.
- Hold associates and leaders accountable for achieving business metrics and goals.
- Provide guidance on the warehouse's daily activities, including loading/unloading freight, doing maintenance, checking inventory, etc.
- Collaborate with internal and external customers to resolve issues and implement improvement opportunities.
- Organize regular staff meetings to ensure proper communication.
Skills and qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in business, logistics, supply chain or a related field.
- 4-6 years of previous logistics, supply chain or warehouse experience.
- Knowledge of warehouse and yard management systems.
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent leadership skills.
