Job overview:
Schneider is seeking a Security Specialist in Green Bay to answer incoming phone calls from company truck drivers with security-related questions and requests. The Security Specialist will also remotely operate gates and monitor entrances at Schneider facilities across the country.
Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming phone calls promptly and direct callers to the appropriate department or associate.
- Maintain courteous communication with internal associates and company drivers.
- Oversee the accurate inventory of equipment.
- Control gate access across Schneider locations.
- Analyze and react to remote gate video surveillance.
- Handle and resolve security alarms promptly.
- Guide associates on adhering to security policies and procedures.
- Handle confidential business information with the utmost discretion to ensure confidentiality is maintained.
Skills and qualifications:
- Associate degree.
- 1-2 years of previous customer service, business or related experience.
- Previous security, loss prevention or criminal justice training is a plus.
- Experience with Microsoft Office programs.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Able to review and monitor video monitors for extended periods of time.
