Job overview:
Schneider is seeking a Logistics Analyst in Skowhegan to handle operational-related tasks, as well as analyze current services, projects and business initiatives to provide information for better decision-making. The Logistics Analyst will maintain databases, extract information and develop metrics to improve performance.
Responsibilities:
- Provide analytical support to internal teams and customers.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
- Analyze the financial impact of changes in routing, equipment, carriers, sourcing and product mix.
- Work on projects in a cross-functional team.
- Develop training materials and train others in software applications.
- Perform transportation and logistics cost analysis.
- Resolve system tracking issues and incomplete shipments.
- Collect data and prepare monthly accrual and forecast templates.
- Act as a liaison between customer service and operations for key metric development.
Skills and qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in business, supply chain, computer science or related field.
- One year of related work experience.
Experience with data mining. - Able to create solutions-based reports.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Able to work onsite at a customer location.
