Job overview:
Schneider is seeking a Rail Operations Specialist in Green Bay to act as the link between Schneider and railroads to resolve service issues and ensure data accuracy. The Rail Operations Specialist will use various technology to monitor orders and communicate changes.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize Schneider’s and railroads’ tools and platforms to track and update orders.
- Provide Schneider’s Operations and Customer Service teams with timely and accurate information.
- Handle railroad waybill responsibilities in an accurate and timely manner.
- Act as a resource for railroad-related questions and issues.
- Establish strong business relationships with the railroads.
- Assess on-time service performance and escalate service-related issues.
- Make recommendations for improvements to current processes and implement solutions.
- Maintain and update transit schedules.
Skills and qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- A minimum of 2 years of related experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
