Job overview:  

Schneider is seeking a Vice President of Sales to provide support, leadership and coaching to a commercial sales team. The VP of Sales will provide direction to their team regarding sales support and development, customer service, pricing, contract administration, marketing and more.  This role is aligned to Schneider's Dedicated service offering.

Responsibilities: 

  • Develop sales associates to improve their selling abilities by providing direct feedback and recommending process improvements. 
  • Serve as an active member of the commercial leadership team. 
  • Deliver needed results related to profitability, revenue generation and asset utilization. 
  • Collaborate with the pricing, operations and customer service teams. 
  • Be a transportation expert by monitoring market indicators and establishing relationships with clients and industry experts. 
  • Ensure new opportunities are added to Schneider’s portfolio and existing opportunities are advanced. 
  • Create and execute a strategic plan to achieve the organization’s objectives. 
  • Act as an escalation point for negotiations with existing customers. 

Skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field. 
  • A minimum of 6 years of sales experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent leadership skills.
  • Valid driver's license and meet Schneider's DMV record standards.
  • Able to travel 30-50% of the time.
