Meet the newest Schneider Driver Ambassadors

Every great team needs passionate advocates. Schneider Driver Ambassadors are exactly that – drivers who go above and beyond to make a difference at Schneider and in the transportation industry.  

As part of their role, Schneider Driver Ambassadors:

Their overall goal? To make the truck driver experience better.

Here’s a quick introduction to the 10 newest drivers who joined this distinguished team. 

Steven Renner

Van Truckload – Houston, Texas

Fun fact: Between stints with Schneider, Steven drove on tour with iconic bands like the Eagles, Chicago, The Who, Steely Dan, Earth, Wind & Fire, and musicals like The Lion King and Phantom of the Opera. 

“I love truck driving so much, I would do it for free,” Steven said. “When I was on tour and people approached me about truck driving opportunities, I recommended Schneider because I believe Schneider does trucking right. They respect drivers, and when they talk about safety as a core value, they mean it.” 

Kolin Stutcher

Van Truckload – Woodhaven, Michigan

Fun fact: Kolin taught tennis for 35 years. Some of his students have even competed in the U.S. Open.

“I want to represent Schneider to newer drivers and teach them to speak their mind,” Kolin said. “Everyone deserves respect, and I want to encourage them to say what they need. This is the place to be, and if you want to spend your career here, you should be heard.” 

Albert Lumpkin

Dedicated – Bloomingdale, Georgia

Fun fact: Albert brings a positive attitude to every part of his life. According to Albert, if he has a bad 10 minutes, he’s not going to let it ruin the other 23 hours and 50 minutes of his day.

“Every time I get out of the truck, I wear my Schneider logo on my chest and on my head with pride,” Albert said. “That's just how I carry myself with customers and other drivers, because that’s how they’re going to remember Schneider. I was an ambassador even before I was an ‘official’ Driver Ambassador.” 

Marvin Bargo

Dedicated – London, Kentucky

Fun fact: In addition to being a retired history teacher, Marvin loves antique cars and trucks. If there’s an opening to be the caretaker of Vinny, Schneider’s vintage truck, Marvin says he’ll be first to volunteer.

“My favorite thing is when you see a student finally understand it,” Marvin said. “They can do the job, and you feel like you've been a part of that. When I see one of my trainees at the yard, I'm like, ‘I trained that guy!’” 

Joshua Avery

Intermodal – Mesquite, Texas

Fun fact: On vacation, Joshua loves to keep moving, especially in Asia. He’s visited Singapore, Hong Kong, the Philippines and Thailand.

“Schneider was always my first choice,” Joshua said. “I remember the Schneider recruiter coming to my truck driving school, and it was such a great first impression. It sounded wonderful when they described it back then, and it exceeded those expectations. It’s been a pleasure to work my actual dream job.” 

Kevin Kohout

Intermodal – Fairburn, Georgia

Fun fact: Kevin has a big family, with eight kids in total!

“As a Driver Ambassador, I’m excited to network with leaders and act as a voice for drivers,” Kevin said. “It’s a great responsibility to improve the company, ensuring that messages are properly communicated between drivers and management. It’s important to be that middle voice.”

David Bost

Bulk – Charlotte, North Carolina

Fun fact: David always makes sure he talks to his customers when he picks up and delivers. Beyond common courtesy, this helps him understand how their business and the larger industry is doing.

“I've been able to achieve the Haul of Fame here at Schneider with 2 million safe miles and 23 consecutive years of safe driving,” David said. “If you stay in the industry long enough and do what you're supposed to do, these awards will come to you. You don't have to try to get them. They'll show up.”  

Katrina Blevins

Dedicated – Green Bay, Wisconsin

Fun fact: Katrina’s favorite meal on the road is a ribeye steak prepared on her George Foreman grill.

“I always enjoy coming back to Green Bay and talking with my leaders,” Katrina said. “They’re really cool people, knowledgeable about what we do, and they show drivers the appreciation they deserve.”

Molly Toth-Thompson

Dedicated – Marysville, Ohio

Fun fact: Molly’s background includes restaurant management and graphic design. When she’s not on the road, Molly, her husband and her son spend time with their three dogs and seven cats at their rural Ohio home.

“I work with a lot of amazing people and have made friends with many flatbed drivers who work in my region,” Molly said. “On dedicated accounts you can have routines with your customers and talk to them about how they’re doing.”

James Hall

Dedicated – Nashville, Tennessee

Fun fact: Despite the tricky roads, James loves driving through the mountains of Pennsylvania, Tennessee and Washington.  

“I've noticed over the years a lot of drivers asking, ‘Why is this certain thing happening at Schneider or in the industry?’” David said. “I want to open that communication and be a mediator to make sure we all work together smoothly.”
