Master Diesel Technician

Full time; Monday-Wednesday and every other weekend, 5:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

Job overview:

  • Make highly complex repairs as a Master Diesel Technician in Portland, OR.
  • Diagnose electrical and mechanical systems on our company trucks.

Responsibilities: 

  • Have a deep understanding of how to diagnose and repair problems involving the engine, after-treatment devices, fuel systems and other components.
  • Use diagnostic software or other methods to diagnose electrical and mechanical problems. 
  • Solve complex repairs for which there may be no standard operating procedure or repair manual. 

Skills and qualifications:

  • Technical degree in diesel technology or related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of diesel technician experience.
  • Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Master Truck certification.
  • Thorough understanding of all truck systems and expertise in at least one of the following: engine, cab/chassis or drivetrain.
  • Analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Able to provide recommendations regarding maintenance and repair decisions.
  • Able to manage and prioritize work to meet equipment needs.
  • Able to work independently with little supervision.
