Job overview:
Schneider is seeking a Senior Operations Representative for our Cross Dock operations in Grapevine. You will be responsible for supporting and completing administrative processes and resolving process exceptions. Seek ways to improve the day-to-day processes, increase efficiencies, reduce waste, and value assets. Need to have the ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently such as hand trucks, pallet jacks and forklift.
Responsibilities:
- Assign freight to maximize profitability, customer satisfaction & driver retention.
- Ensure optimal utilization of driver capacity with customer load tenders.
- Track down missing paperwork that delays load delivery and other basic load related. situations in a timely manner.
- Identify and work with the leader to resolve potential customer service, cargo claim, maintenance, and equipment issues.
Skills and qualifications:
- High School/GED or equivalent work experience.
- Two plus years of relevant work experience.
- Prior experience working in traffic office, warehouse, shipping, or receiving work.
- Ability to use a hand truck and pallet jack as needed.
- Ability to lift, move or carry up to 50 lbs. as needed to capture parcel ID information on freight.
- Ability to accurately complete paperwork and input data into various internal or customer TMS systems.
