Job overview:
Schneider is seeking a Digital Media Instructional Designer in Green Bay to design and develop content, curriculum and training materials that are primarily in a digital format for Schneider’s Driver Training Program. In addition to creating new content, the Digital Media Instructional Designer will analyze, revise and update existing curriculum as well.
Responsibilities:
- Review driver training programs and make recommendations of how to improve the content.
- Work with members of the Driver Training team to develop content.
- Ensure content is created using the appropriate design standards.
- Make and distribute training materials in various formats, including videos, slides, handouts, newsletters, workbooks and reference guides.
- Create videos from start to finish, including shooting content, organizing and reviewing content and editing content into a finished product
- Assist in the development of customized driver training curriculum for new business start-ups and fleet training interventions.
- Conduct on-the-job evaluations to ensure consistent methods of training.
- Work closely with the Marketing team to ensure training materials align with brand standards.
- Travel to various Schneider field locations 20-30% of the time.
Skills and qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in digital media, marketing or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud applications, including Photoshop, Lightroom, Premier Pro, After Effects, Animate and Audition.
- Experience with Vyond.
- Experience with adult learning and training.
- Able to develop training materials in Word, PowerPoint, Articulate and other computer-based training programming applications.
- Able to create motion graphics.
- Strong technical writing skills.
- Able to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
