Job overview:  

Schneider is seeking a Logistics Analyst in Houston to handle operational-related tasks and analyze current services, projects and business initiatives to provide information for better decision-making. The Logistics Analyst will maintain databases, extract information and develop metrics to improve performance.  

Responsibilities:  

  • Develop intermediate reports for root cause analysis of transportation issues. 
  • Prepare and interpret data to aid leadership decision-making. 
  • Implement process changes for continuous improvement. 
  • Develop supply chain metrics and goals. 
  • Provide support and analysis for transportation management systems. 
  • Report project statuses to leadership teams. 
  • Lead small cross-functional processes to achieve desired outcomes. 

Skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, computer science or related field.
  • Two years of experience in an analytical role at a logistics/transportation company.
  • Experience with data mining.
  • Able to create solutions-based reports.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Able to work onsite at a customer location.
