Job overview:
Schneider is seeking a Collections Administrator in Green Bay to support Schneider’s semi-truck leasing business, SFI Trucks and Financing (SFI), by administering effective collections and over-the-road maintenance processes. The Collections Administrator will evaluate client relationships in the independent contractor and vendor segments while overseeing post-sale deal structuring, repair financing and payment collection.
Responsibilities:
- Lead asset repossession and deficiency collection efforts while managing related vendor relationships.
- Handle daily collection functions, resolve issues and create action plans for significant collection accounts.
- Perform account payment analysis to facilitate collection of past-due accounts.
- Manage the bankruptcy process by engaging the legal department.
- Provide guidance on maintenance issues to the Account Administrator group, balancing the needs of clients and SFI.
- Secure returned assets and relocate using efficient and cost-effective methodology.
Skills and qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as Finance or Accounting.
- 3-5 years of professional work experience preferred.
- Strong credit analysis skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of trucks, trucking operations or transportation equipment financing is desirable.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
