Job overview:
Schneider is seeking a Business Development Specialist to identify, develop and secure new logistics business while expanding and retaining existing customer relationships. The Business Development Specialist will drive growth and profitability through solution selling, account planning and disciplined sales pipeline management.
Responsibilities:
- Generate qualified leads and analyze markets to pursue high-value logistics opportunities, driving revenue growth.
- Use targeted outreach to acquire new customers while managing existing accounts through strategic planning and relationship building.
- Ensure expansion within customer portfolios by executing account plans to uncover upselling and cross‑selling opportunities.
- Maintain an accurate sales pipeline with timely updates.
- Represent the company’s brand, culture and core values in all communication.
- Stay adaptable to changing business needs and collaborate across cross‑functional teams.
- Lead executive-level customer engagements, including contract negotiations and performance reviews.
Skills and qualifications:
- Associate degree or equivalent work experience.
- 2 or more years of relevant work experience.
- Exceptional written and verbal communications skills.
- Outstanding customer service and selling skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
