Job overview:
Schneider is seeking a Compensation Specialist in Green Bay to administer manual pay processes using a variety of systems. The Compensation Specialist will validate pay, audit pay entries, calculate pay amounts and ensure accurate and timely pay.
Responsibilities:
- Audit pay setup, ensuring records are complete and accurate.
- Create and maintain datasets for the reporting of various intervals.
- Analyze pay discrepancies and advise leaders on corrective actions.
- Collaborate with team members and leaders to ensure pay grades and rate tables are created, maintained and accurate.
- Make suggestions to strengthen pay processes and assist with the implementation of changes.
- Test new configurations in a test environment.
Skills and qualifications:
- Associate degree in business administration, human resources, finance or related field preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in payroll, customer service, operations, recruiting or human resources preferred.
- Knowledge of the transportation industry is preferred.
- Experience with Excel, including V or X lookups, pivot tables, formulas and graphs.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Able to identify process deficiencies and recommend improvements.
