Dedicated truck driving jobs
What is dedicated trucking?
Dedicated truck drivers haul freight for one primary customer. This means you get to know your customers’ people, their schedules and routes, which provides consistency. Plus, thanks to Schneider’s wide selection of dedicated CDL jobs, you’ll have plenty of options to choose from.
Solo
Freedom to choose
Solo drivers choose from the widest variety of dedicated driving accounts. That means it is easier than ever to find an account with the pay, miles, and freight you want. Dedicated drivers choose to get home daily, multiple times per week, weekly or monthly to get the work-life balance they need.
Dedicated solo driver pay:
- Top drivers earn an average of $111,000 per year.
- Drivers average $1,180 - $1,440 per week.
Team
Elite lanes
Dedicated team drivers haul time-sensitive, high-value freight for customers across the country. Because of the high demand for this freight, Team drivers often stay out on the road longer and earn higher pay while hauling drop-and-hook freight on premium lanes. Plus, you’ll get home weekly, every other week or every three weeks.
Dedicated team driver pay:
- Top drivers earn an average of $107,000 (per driver) each year.
- Drivers average $1,630 - $1,990 (per driver) each week.
Tanker
Higher pay
Dedicated tanker drivers haul liquid loads for one primary customer. Although Schneider does offer some HazMat freight options for drivers to choose from, 75% of loads are non-hazardous. However, the specialized nature of hauling liquid freight will lead to a higher pay potential on top of other dedicated benefits like consistent daily, weekly or monthly home time.
Dedicated tanker driver pay:
- Top drivers earn an average of $96,000 per year.
Drivers average $1,350 - $1,650 per week.
Over-the-road
Long-haul routes
Over-the-road (OTR) drivers specialize in delivering long-haul loads and often spend at least three weeks out on the road at a time. This driving style usually involves more time away from home, higher weekly mileage (e.g. over 2,500/week) and a higher percentage of no-touch freight.
Dedicated OTR driver pay:
- Top drivers earn an average of $82,000 per year.
- Drivers average $1,190 - $1,450 per week.
Schneider also has two unique dedicated OTR opportunities for drivers who are looking for something out of the ordinary. The first, our National Dedicated Fleet, assigns drivers to Dedicated accounts for short periods of time to help during surges and start-ups. The second, our jet-set opportunities, fly drivers to various areas of the country with high needs. These opportunities are only available in select locations.
