Schneider unveils remodeled Gary facility

Schneider continually reinvests in its nationwide facility network, whether it’s building new facilities (like Phoenix and Shrewsbury recently) or remodeling existing facilities to enhance driver amenities.

Schneider’s latest project was a remodel of our facility in Gary, Ind., one of the largest in our network and a semifinalist in our recent “Orange Mania: Schneider Facility Faceoff.”

Driver Amenities Available in Gary

• Over 800 parking spaces including bobtail, combination and box
• 7 fuel lanes
• 24/7 maintenance shop including express bay
• 18 showers

Renovations and Upgrades During Gary Facility Remodel

Driver Services – repainted walls, replaced flooring, refaced the desk, updated furniture and cabinets, and refreshed artwork and signage throughout

Driver lounges – repainted walls, replaced carpet flooring, created choice seating options with lounge seating and added a TV lounge feature wall

Cafeteria – repainted walls, replaced flooring, rearranged vending area and added a soffit, reconfigured serving area, rebuilt center island to allow for additional serving area and separate seating areas, and enhanced kitchen area

Dining area – repainted walls, replaced flooring, defined more comfortable spaces by adding architectural clouds over seating areas, added pendant lights and replaced seating and some tables with choice options

Driver Business Center – repainted walls, replaced flooring, redesigned layout and reduced tack boards

Window films – fitness room facing corridor and cafeteria (visible in above photo)

Shower corridor – repainted walls and replaced flooring

Restrooms – repainted walls, replaced mirrors, added tile borders and replaced partitions
