Schneider is seeking a solution focused Business Technology Developer to join our Intermodal Operational Excellence team. As a Business Technology Developer you will develop business insights and implement automated solutions to solve complex problems

About the role:

  • Develop strong business understanding to help clearly define business requirements and help iterate through most effective way to solve business problem with innovative technology solutions
  • Learn and adhere to business technology design standards to limit maintenance and provide long term resiliency
  • Become proficient with approved business technology software/applications (SQL, Python, BluePrism, Tableau, Microsoft products) and provide assessment/evaluation of new technologies
  • Ability to merge data from various data sources and format in a way that allows flexibility and customization
  • Create and maintain business analytics to deliver actionable business insights and decision support
  • Ability to cultivate relationships within business and TECH organization to expedite solution delivery
  • Perform root cause analysis on existing automation and uncover/implement improved technology methods

Ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience and a minimum of one to two years relevant experience.
  • Ability to transform raw data into business information.
  • Willingness to learn new technology tools, programming languages, and techniques.
  • Broad IT knowledge and skills:
    • Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office products.
    • Comprehensive knowledge of software, application, and systems.
    • Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and tools.
