Schneider is seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer to lead and drive the migration to a DevOps culture of automation and orchestration capabilities across the TECH organization. The Release Analyst Lead will serve as a technical lead and assist in implementing and supporting the release automation toolset, including the automation and support of activities and components within release pipelines.

About the role:

  • Lead implementation and support of the release automation toolset, with focus on automating the migration of code from development to production for both legacy and next generation applications and infrastructure
  • Provide DevOps leadership and coaching to teams as they move their applications to the new toolsets
  • Apply a keen eye for automation and its instrumentation to ensure efficiency through automating the release lifecycle within the release toolset to eliminate hand-offs, increase throughput, and create consistent and reliable processes
  • Maintain project artifacts including scope, work breakdown structures, estimates, task dependencies, schedule and open issues and their mitigation plans

Ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related field; or the equivalent
  • Seven years relevant IT experience; hands-on experience implementing or supporting release pipelines & CI/CD required
  • ITIL Foundation certified preferred, or ability to complete certification within six months of start date
  • Excellent computer skills including strong grasp of infrastructure and application development technology and architectures, with demonstrated programing knowledge
  • Deep understanding/strong experience with release automation tools such as: XebiaLabs, Electric Cloud, CA Automic, Anthill Pro
  • Experience with version control systems (Git, SVN, etc.), including branching and merging strategies, and configuration of automation triggers
  • Knowledge of continuous delivery and integration tools such as: Jenkins, Nexus, Artifactory
  • Experience with build/SCM tools such as: Maven, Subversion, Anthill Pro
  • Use of automation/configuration management tools such as: Puppet, Chef, Ansible
  • Experience with AWS and other cloud capabilities
  • Understanding of continuous testing automation and principles, configuration of test automation for JUnit, Selenium, Jmeter, or other testing products, and automation and orchestration of test activity
  • Knowledge of agile management tools, such as CA Agile Central, Jira or Version One
