Last month, our Schneider associates in Green Bay, Wis., were invited to the Third Annual Internal Informational Career Fair at our corporate headquarters. This event gives Schneider associates the opportunity to network and look at different areas of the company and opportunities that are available to them while choosing a career path as they grow in their career with Schneider.
We had representatives from our departments in Operations, Sales, Schneider Transportation Management (STM), Supply Chain Management (SCM), Van Truckload, Intermodal, Tech @ Schneider, Finance and more available for discussion with individuals who were interested in their areas.
Also, our Corporate Recruiting team was available to provide resume writing assistance to our Schneider associates choosing a career path in a different area of the company.
We also had the opportunity for our associates to learn more about the networking groups available at Schneider and in the Green Bay area including Current, the Schneider Women’s Network and the Schneider Community Connect team.
For our non-Green Bay associates, our corporate recruiting team was able to create an intranet website that is similar to a “Virtual Career Fair” for those that were interested in participating but could not make it to Green Bay.
Overall, the fair was a success and are looking forward to continuing this tradition here at Schneider. I’m proud to be part of a company that encourages associates to be well-rounded and work across a variety of departments. Instead of being forced to fit a certain mold, associates are choosing career paths that fit their changing needs.
